Scanomat App is produced by Scanomat A/S (“Scanomat”, “we”, “our”, “us”), which is committed to protecting your privacy.

  • This data is used to help you track and manage nutrient intake compared to recommended daily amounts or your personal goals.

2.1.2     Optional User Information

  • You may choose to provide gender, age, weight, and personal daily water intake targets to receive more tailored recommendations.

2.2        Personal Data That We Collect Automatically

2.2.1     Diagnostic & Usage Logs

  • The App may record non-personal usage data (e.g., timestamps of successful connections to a Scanomat App machine) to help troubleshoot errors and improve functionality.
  • No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected.
  • This data may be uploaded to our servers or collected by the connected Scanomat App machine.

2.3        Personal Data That We Obtain from Third-Party Sources

  • None
    • The App does not retrieve any personal data from external third-party sources.

3            Purposes for Which We Process Personal Data

3.1        Core Functionality

  • Enabling the connection between the App and the Scanomat App machine so you can dispense drinks.

3.2        HealthKit Integration

  • Reading HealthKit data (if you permit) to tailor your nutrient recommendations (e.g., personalized water intake goals).
  • Writing nutrient data (e.g., water, vitamin, electrolyte intake) to HealthKit each time you order a drink.

3.3        User Control and Insights

  • Presenting you with a personal dashboard of your nutrient intake (on your device only).
  • Providing insight into whether you meet or exceed recommended daily intakes.

3.4        No Sharing or Profiling

  • We do not share HealthKit data with third parties.
  • We do not use or transfer any data for marketing or advertising.

4            Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

In accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on:

  • Consent: You explicitly opt in to HealthKit data sharing. You can withdraw this consent at any time through your device’s settings.

    • All HealthKit data and optional user information remain on your local device.

  • Data Deletion: Delete your app data by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage.

    • We do not store HealthKit data on external servers; everything is on your device.
  • User-Controlled Deletion
    • You can remove data by deleting or revoking the App’s permissions in HealthKit or uninstalling the App entirely.

    • The App uses standard encryption provided by iOS and relies on Apple’s HealthKit security protocols to safeguard any health data.
  • No External Access
    • Because we do not transmit your personal data off the device, exposure risk is minimized.
