History
Scanomat was founded more than 40 years ago in the early 60ies.
In the beginning the company was run from a garage of 25m2. Later the company moved to the industrial area in Glostrup, where the company had its head quarters for many years. In 1985 Scanomat launched the world's first fully automatic Cappuccino machine. Since then Scanomat has been continually developing and designing new, reliable, and economical products to improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of service, and the quality of the beverages produced.
In 1991/92 Scanomat moved to new premises in Kokkedal, especially built to comply with Scanomat's needs: production, stock house, service department, research and development, show-room, and administration.

Scanomat manufactures, develops, and markets some of the best professional coffee brewers in the world. Scanomat has a unique know-how within this line of business; a tremendous knowledge and experience from which the customers benefit.
Today, the name Scanomat is synonymous with excellent tasting coffees, cappuccinos, and other hot and cold beverages. The Scanomat package is based on modern technology, a superior range of products, efficient and effective service and financing opportunities. Research and development
Large means/resources have been invested in research and development throughout the years. Thus, several times Scanomat has launched novelties that have set the trend within this line of business, both in the USA and in Europe.
In the early 1980ies Kim Vibe-Petersen managed to carry out his idea of developing a fast coffee and cappuccino brewer. These fully automatic coffee brewers became a huge success within the hotel and restaurant business due to the high quality of the drink, the simple maintenance and the speedy dispensing of drinks. The coffee brewers were very reliable and easy to use – no special skills were required.
Scanomat was the first company in the world to develop a fully automatic combined coffee and cappuccino brewer that could also dispense espresso, chocolate, and other coffee specialities.
Today the trend is small, compact brewers with a large variety of drinks, and Scanomat is still leading within development and technology thanks to years of experience and know-how and advanced tools such as three-dimensional CAD/CAM

Scanomat has manufactured and sold more than 150,000 brewers in total and the present premises in Kokkedal offer fine possibilites of increasing the production capacity considerably.
Today, Scanomat exports to distributors in more than 46 countries, among others to Nestlé, who has been our business partner through all the years. Due to the excellent quality of the product being served from Scanomat brewers, Scanomat has succeeded in changing the image of instant coffee.
In Scandinavia more than 15,000 Scanomat brewers are installed and we count five star hotels and highly estimated restaurants as well as offices and well -known fast-food chains amongst our customers.
More than 90% of Scanomat's production is exported, the most considerable markets being the USA, Germany, England, Benelux, France, Poland, Middle East – and Scandinavia.
Concept
One of the most important elements of selling professional coffee brewers is an efficient service organisation.
The Scanomat brewers are easy to use and they do not require much service and maintenance. The brewers have a long life, advanced technology, serve a large variety of high quality coffee drinks and generate no waste.
To our business partners the most interesting is probably not the machines, but the ingredient sales that they generate. To ensure this ingredient sales Scanomat has developed a Quality Key system that secures that no unoriginal ingredients are used in the Scanomat brewers.
